Daily Cantina at Les Communs.

For foodculture days Biennial 2020/2021 — Chapter 2, the daily cantina will be functioning in Vevey at Les Communs, selling of take-away bento boxes between Thursday, May 27, 2021 and Sunday, May 30, 2021, from 12:00 to 14:00, while inspirational photographs and the menu are available on FCD website.

Bonne bouche is the daily cantina for the event, which will be selling take away bento boxes as a summery restorative lunch with japanese and european gastronomic combinations. All dishes will have a japanese speciality with a salad from the region. The menu intends on being like a quick trip to a herb or vegetable garden through an aurora borealis, while paying homage to tradition and the product’s integrity as they merge together.

Mélanie Wehrli: Born in Curepipe (Mauritius Island), 1992. Lives and works in Berlin, Germany. Ayumi Saito: Born in Miyazaki (Japan), 1977. Lives and works in Berlin, Germany. Self taught cooks based in Berlin, where multicultural cuisine is on every corner, they practice intuitive cooking and run businesses focusing on vegetarian meals. They both love simple tasty food made from the heart. Discussion starts around good meals and emotions flows. Inspired by their visit in Vevey for Chapter 1 and their home Mauritius island and Japan they will create delicious bento boxes with a european twist, using organic, regional products.
