HYPERTOPIA
Group exhibition addressing pertinent issues related to speculative science and the ongoing crisis of the future.
Alexandra Daisy Ginsberg, Ani Liu, Dominique Koch, Salvatore Iaconesi and Oriana Persico, Himali Singh Soin and Jana Maria Dohmann
Hypertopia doesn’t claim to have answers. Instead, it presents itself as a platform for renegotiation, bridging today and tomorrow. Powered by the vision of a collective change in consciousness, the transdisciplinary program and exhibition anticipates a post-crisis future to explore approaches for a meaningful present. With a selection of artistic positions, propositions and exploratory projects that incorporate scientific methods as well as speculative modes of thought, Hypertopia challenges hierarchies, probes ideas, and imagines scenarios for a new planetary optimism.
The exhibiton will be accompanied by a framework program and guided exhibition tours – a series of field trips that take the show’s artistic positions and core ideas to relevant places in the city.
The exhibition and its framework program are supported by the Hauptstadtkulturfonds.
The curators and program contributors will be present during the press preview and will gladly answer questions and engage in dialogue. Photo and filming permissions are possible upon request.
We kindly ask for your understanding that the exhibition is happening under the observance of current restrictions regarding COVID-19. Entering the gallery is only permitted wearing a mask.
